Good evening/goodmorning everyone. I am going to take this time to tell you all a bit of what i like in the Automotive world.
First, and foremost, I am a bit of a Porsche-phile, although i do tend to stray torwards the luxury and exotics in general. But, 356s, 911s, 912s, 914s, 944s, boxsters, and so many others, are my favorites. I love the rich history behind them, and i also love the look and functionality of them. There are few other REAL sportscars that you can use everyday, whether they're classics or not. I WILL own one some day in the not-too-distant future.
Second, I like unusual things with motors. one car would be the Mini Moke. It's a small, vintage, strange, top-down fun car, that will get you looks everywhere you go, and I like that. I also like these strange things called stand-up gas scooters (see: Go-Ped). they look like a Razor scooter, but they basically have a moped engine on them. People tune these pocket rockets to all hell and race them on go-kart tracks nationwide. can you imagine doing 50-60 MPH on basically a Razor scooter??? I've got to try it! I also have a soft spot for, believe or not, the Saturn S-Series cars built from 1991-2002. they're cheap, reliable, different, easy to fix, and really fun to fling around corners and back roads! I had a '93 SC2 with a 5-speed. I couldn't have asked for a better first car! I beat the crap out of it, and it just kept coming back for more!
Third, I have hopes of creating a custom car company. I live near the tip of Lake Michigan in Indiana, and there are several fairly high-income communities around here. My vision is to be able to do everything to a car, from complete body re-works, to kit-car building, to low-key upgrades for the higher-end cars. I want to do it ALL!
Fourth, see that SAAB on my page's background? That's my current ride. it"s a 2002 9-3 SE convertible. Laser Red paint on Black interior and top. It's a very nice car, and everyone loves it wherever i go. It is most certainly turbocharged (14.5 P.S.I of boost stock!) and is quite a quick car! That said, i wish it was a little bit faster, and handled a bit better (it has LOADS of understeer at the limit). That's precisely why I plan on making a few suspension and simple engine upgrades in the near future.
Finally, in this blog, I want to cater to you, the reader. Please give me any ideas you have for something to write about next. Also, give me constructive feedback about all of this; what you like, what you don't like, what else i should do, and anything else like that.
well, I'm done here for now. so, until next week, KEEP THAT THROTTLE OPEN!
Thanks for reading.
